Texas Organic Cotton Marketing Cooperative (TOCMC) was founded in 1993. Its members produce most of the organic cotton grown in the United States.
Around thirty producers plant 10-15,000 acres of organic and transitional cotton. These family farms produce 6,000 – 15,000 bales a year. Yields are very rainfall dependent, varying significantly from year to year.
Each TOCMC bale of is certified organic and tracked from the field to the customer. Buyers can know the producer’s name for each bale purchased.
