The Cooperative Law and Regulation Initiative (CLARITY) was established in 2005 by members of the U.S. Overseas Cooperative Development Council (OCDC) with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The chief goal of CLARITY is to provide support to cooperative movements in developing economies as they analyse and change their legal and regulatory environments. The resources provided by CLARITY are supported by engagement with local cooperative leaders, assisting cooperative movements to study and improve their regulatory situations through better engagement with policy makers.
