Since 1944, The Co-op has been the heart of South Australia’s Barossa

Established in the dying days of World War II to bring the community together and collaboratively create a better future for the region,  The Co-op is now the largest retail co-operative in Australia.

Turning over more than $60 million a year it has become an icon among residents of the Barossa for its tradition of giving back to charities while maintaining competitive shopping choice and providing employment for more than 300 local people.

The Co-op strives to provide the best retail services, outstanding value for money, exceptional customer service and the most memorable shopping experience in the region.

The Co-op supports a variety of local sporting clubs, community groups and community organisations and recently implemented a Co-op team volunteering program, Co-op Care, which will support Barossa based Community Organisations.  Our aim is to continue to be a generous, trusted and valued part of our region.
