What is the Cooperative World Map? 

worldmap.coop is an interactive, data-driven map showcasing cooperatives and their support organizations worldwide. Our goal is simple: to make the cooperative movement visible, accessible, and connected. 

Powered by the World Cooperative Data project, this map is an expression of a merged, cleaned and public database, sourced from a growing network of partnerships around the globe. 

Features and Benefits: 

• Explore the Map: Discover co-ops and members of the cooperative economy near you or anywhere around the world. 

• Connect with Others: Find partners, collaborators, and fellow change-makers to strengthen the cooperative economy. 

• Promote Your Initiative: By joining the membership of a data partner, or by using the .coop domain, your organization is automatically added to the database and map. 

• Learn and Grow: We are working with numerous other partners to develop resources, apps, and solutions aimed at supporting the cooperative movement worldwide.

Launched at the International Cooperative Alliance’s Global Congress in Delhi, India on November 25^th, the map with the first data-sets showcases over 60,000 cooperatives, with more on the way. This is just the first step; in 2025 the map will be expanded significantly as the Data Project grows. 

Our collaborators include: 

• National and regional cooperative federations that represent thousands of co-ops globally, with credit to our key early supporters – NCBA CLUSA, the International Cooperative Alliance and CoopsUK.

• Research institutions and NGOs dedicated to mapping the global cooperative economy.
