A group of mussel and oyster farmers in the Highlands & Islands and Shetland formed the Scottish Shellfish Marketing Group in 1992 to develop UK sales and introduce added value products. Turnover has grown consistently to £11 million in 2010/11, and the product range is available in leading supermarkets.
